Spray Paints

Citadel Colour spray cans are designed for undercoating metal and plastic models. The purpose of the undercoat is twofold: it acts as a primer and it provides a flat base colour to paint onto. You will find that a spray finish is far flatter and better to paint onto than a brushed undercoat.

Applying an overall protective coating of acrylic or polyurethane varnish serves two functions. The most obvious is to enable the models to be handled without excessively wearing or chipping the paint. The other reason is to give the model an overall consistent appearance - generally to remove any unwanted shininess from inks or gloss varnish.

This can contains 400ml of varnish. Citadel Purity Seal has a semi-matt or satin finish that is very much like the natural sheen of the paint itself.

This spray is rich purple which is ideal for Tyranids, Chaos, Dark Eldar or Dark Elves. The Alien Purple Colour Primer is dark so if using quickshade dip, Dark Tone Quickshade should be used to create sufficient shading effects.

This spray has a beautiful deep and dark green which is absolutely perfect for Dark Angel Space Marines, Wood Elves or scenery. The Angel Green Colour Primer is dark so if using quickshade dip, Dark Tone Quickshade should be used to create sufficient shading effects.

The Army Painter: Barbarian Flesh Colour Primer Spray is great for spraying miniatures with exposed skin, saving you loads of time. Superb with Celts, hordes of Viking beserks and Barbarians in general. Especially Ogre Kingdoms would make great use of this colour, but also Beastmen and Skaven would benefit, making their fur more "realistic" and enabling you to knock out large regiments very fast.
